Yes, but I won't be there. Could someone make an announcement?

There's a nationwide network of non-profit reading and writing
tutoring centers called 826. The one in Ann Arbor is 826Michigan
(http://www.826michigan.org/). Some of these have locations with
storefronts, as 826Michigan does, and to bring in extra money and
attention, some have opened up novelty-themed shops. There's a
super-hero supply in Manhattan, a time-travel store in California (I
think), and so on.

The local 826 just opened "Liberty Street Robot Supply and Repair"
late May. Much of their stock is on the novelty side of robots, and
their store decorations lean towards mad-scientist/surplus scientific
instrument. Some "real" robotics would be a welcome addition.

So, if you have some robots that you would be willing to loan to the
store, they would be delighted to display them in their display case
(with cards noting the builder and/or owner) or on high shelves.
Robots that look like robots would be the idea (versus, say, modified
kid cars). They are also looking for folks to help with the
decor--for example, anyone have a Theremin? Or desire to wire up a
bunch of LEDs? Any (low-voltage) wiring skill would be helpful.

Once things settle down, I believe they are receptive to the idea of
stocking beginning robotics kits as well.

You can get in touch with me, or directly with Amy Sumerton
(amy at 826michigan.org).

Thanks.
