[Yaaarc] Ubuntu

Hi all, I was wondering if any body running Ubuntu knows how to install
ettercap <http://ettercap.sourceforge.net/>.  I'm new to Linux and have
fallowed some tutorials on how to install other programs, and they work just
fine.  but when i try to install ettercap, i download the code form
sourceforge and run the fallowing code in the terminal

cd Desktop
tar -xvzf obscure-1.0.tar.gz
cd obscure-1.0
./configure
make
sudo make install

and it seems to work because it complete each command but after it finishes
running "sudo make install" i go to Applications>Internet and it is not
there.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, so any help it much appreciated
